Our 2023 toy giveaway served more than 17,000 kids
Inspired Vision Compassion Center seeks to stop the cycle of homelessness by providing Christmas toys to families living in poverty. Families often have to make a decision between paying rent and buying Christmas gifts. Which leads to a high eviction rate in February. Over the course of 7 days, we registered 17,000 kids to receive Christmas toys. We served 500 kids per hour for the first two days. Our center was decorated and many of our volunteers were in costume making this a one-of-a-kind Christmas experience. We always need volunteers and donations to make this possible.
Up to 130 Seniors participate in Friday’s Senior social Event
Seniors faced major isolation during the Covid Outbreak in 2020, leading to increased mental health issues including depression and even suicide. Every Friday morning, Inspired Vision Compassion Center hosts an event for seniors 55+. The 80 to 130 seniors who attend our weekly event, have the opportunity to socialize, create strong support systems, and have fun. We provide snacks, good vibes, and great prizes for every senior that attends. The social is open to any 55 years or older. Come prepared to have a great time with our senior social team.
Jewelry class makes intricate pieces for themselves and others
Every Thursday at 10:00 am, our artisan in residence offers a jewelry making class for artistic clients. There is a $15 cost to pay for materials used in the class. Many of our ladies have learned how to make gorgeous jewelry including earrings, rings, necklaces and bracelets! Come learn how to make something beautiful, and maybe even start your own jewelry business.
Class is open every Tuesday on a first come, first serve basis.
Our 2023 coat giveaway provided 5,000 people with winter gear
Many of our families come to our food pantry without warm clothing during the North Texas winter. We often see children with blankets wrapped around them in short pants or without proper shoes. We collect coats, hats, socks, scarves, and gloves during the fall to ensure that our families are provided with proper winter attire. Our coat giveaway, held in October, provided winter wear for over 5,000 people.
To make this possible, we accept donations of winter-wear year round.
Parkland hOspital provides health screenings and Virtual visits
A Parkland Hospital team provides wellness checks for adults on Tuesday and Wednesday from 10am to 1pm. We are excited to have the first prototype of Parkland’s new Video Visit Booth which is a pod allowing patients to connect virtually with doctors. Parkland provides periodic classes to our clients such as Having a Healthy Baby, Managing Post-Partum concerns, Healthy Eating for Diabetics, Active Shooter training, and a series on creating healthy meals.
Special classes will be announced via our Facebook page (found by clicking here).

2023
Inspired Vision Compassion Center gives groceries to approximately 1800 to 2000 families each day, Monday through Friday. Unlike most food pantries, our volume allows us to provide fresh vegetables and healthy eating options rather than canned food to our clients. In 2023, we had 460,000 families that received groceries through our free grocery store. In addition to groceries, we provide clothing, books, furniture, baby formula, diapers, baby furniture, first aid and home medical equipment, school supplies, school uniforms, and other necessities. Our free children’s clinic provides medical care for approximately 45 children per day while Parkland provides medical screenings and doctor’s visits for adults.
Spay Neuter Network provides free spay/neuter for cats and dogs every Tuesday from a mobile unit in our parking lot. SPCA, Operation Kindness, and Duck Team 6 hold periodic vaccine and microchip clinics to ensure pets get appropriate medical care.
South Dallas Employment Project operates a computer center that offers free job training, job placement assistance, and various other supports for the unemployed. They provide wrap-around services for clients participating in job training. They also help clients obtain IDs and file for unemployment.
We have a Senior Social each Friday morning attended by 80 to 130 seniors. Allowing the seniors of the community a place to interact, have fun and get both food and emotional support. Many seniors do not have support systems and build strong relationships through our senior social.
We hold prom store, back to school, wedding dress, coat, and Christmas giveaways each year. In 2023, we gave about 17,000 children toys and goodie bags for Christmas. Families in poverty, often use their rent money in December to buy Christmas and are evicted in February. Giving Christmas toys stops the cycle of homelessness in our community.
We have about 60,000 registered homes, from Dallas and many surrounding communities, who receive food, supplies, and services. We have 50 to 80 new families who register each day. Some families drive as much as an hour to an hour and a half to get to us since we do not have zip code restrictions. We provide food to 50 smaller food pantries, and various community churches to distribute. We currently provide food baskets and snacks to 54 Title I schools for parent engagement and afterschool tutoring.
2022
Throughout the struggles and hardships that have been endured in 2022, IVCC has stayed opened and has surpassed the expectations we had at the beginning of the year. We served a total of 441,350 families. We provided winter coats to over 1,500 children. We gave school supplies and uniforms to 1,104 children.
2021
In 2021 we surpassed all expectations that we had for ourselves, we served 427,208 families. If we multiply this by our average household size of 5, that is 2,136,040 people that we helped feed in the North Texas area. Additionally, our Christmas Blessing surpassed our wildest expectations and gave Christmas to over 10,000 kids. In one day, we gave school supplies to over 1,300 children, and supplies to over 500 teachers in the Dallas area. In 2021, we created a completely digital system through help of our partners to help organize our data and the families that we have helped thus far. This year, we have seen exponential growth in many areas including the healthcare sector. We now have a free doctor’s clinic inside our facilities four days a week, and Parkland provides screenings in our building once a week.
2020
In 2020, our team helped us exceed our expectations. We fed a grand total of 334,004 families with an average household size of 4, essentially meaning that we helped feed over 1 million people in the North Texas Area. We gave Christmas toys to over 6,123 families. This upcoming year, we expect to exceed our previous years and make a larger change in our community.
2019
We expected 2019 to exceed every year before.
It happened.
Not only did we feed over 243,000 families, but we renovated a new building that required complete and total restoration. We invited the whole community to partner with us on the remodel of the new building and they came through for us.
CATCH THE VISION.
2018
Over 200,000 families were given food in 2018. Thousands of children were given coats, toys, and school supplies.
2017
In the first seven months of this year, over 85,000 gifts of food have been distributed to families and senior citizens who have come to Inspired Vision Compassion Center.
2016
93,000 gifts of food were distributed to the needy of Dallas in 2016. It's truly amazing to see what can be done when people come together and say, "Let's make a difference."
2015
In 2015, the team of IVCC gave out groceries to 45,000 families. We had no idea how deep and wide the need was. But we were there for the community and they showed up.
2014
In 2014, Inspired Vision opened up the parking lot of their church every day and began to give away groceries. We gave them to families, individuals, and senior citizens. By the end of the year, we had given food away 6,000 times.
